DLA’s FiveStar Initiative asks local lake service providers, marine dealers, and resorts/camps to implement AIS (invasives) safeguards, then encourages DLA members and Deer Lake property owners to patronize those firms.  If you hire a lake service provider to install/remove your dock or lift, if you need service from a local marine dealer, or if you need space for overflow guests or for a meeting, family reunion or special event, please move your business to a FiveStar lake service provider, marine dealer, and/or resorts/camps.  They are working hard to keep AIS out, Deer Lake water quality high, and to earn your business.

DNR Permitted Lake Service Providers

At an absolute minimum, please make sure that the lake service provider you hire to install/remove your dock and lifts is on the list of officially trained and permitted providers.  The training focuses on preventing spread of Aquatic Invasive Species.
