December 1st:

Deer Lake sports thin ice stretching out from the edges, so the 6 inches of fresh snow did not theaten the possible skating season to come.

Suddenly there was ICE-IN December 2nd.

Break out the Skates and Ice-boats: great Blading ahead.

Stay Safe on the Ice!!

The ICE-IN was followed by several days of warm temps, so the ICE remained too thin for skating and boating on Deer Lake...then it snowed a foot over several days.  Break out the skis!

But also be very cautious on the lake because now the snow is insulating the thin ice from the sub-zero temps we've had since.
