Ice out on Deer Lake took place very early in 2010:  April 7.  This may well have been a new record.  The average date is April 24, with the latest May 10 (1996).

The beautiful photographs below were taken by Donalyn Dealy looking northwest from Bonny Point.  In the photos one can see not only the remaining ice floes on the surface, but also the reflected passing clouds and into the lake bottom.  Do you see a fish?
