Camp leader, DLA founder, and dear friend, Gunny Gunsolly was laid to rest on Saturday, November 2, following a memorial service in the dining room of Sherwood Forest Camp.  Nearly 200 people were in attendance, and many reminiscences heartfully conveyed.  Gunny's nephews teamed up to honor her in the "Sherwood Way" of self-reliance and personal meaning.  A log from one of the majestic White Pine trees that had formerly graced the Sherwood Waterfront (and is visible at the the top of the hill in front of the lodge in the photo above) was saw-milled into boards that were beautifully fashioned in to her coffin, adorned with fabrics and blankets from the camp.

Rest in Peace, Gunny. You will be missed and remembered!
